Mine are so aggressive that honestly, I think they would strive in any conditions beside the cold or snow. I don't know though how many years they were here prior to us buying the house, it's possible they were here for some years and that's why they're so healthy now. I wish you well with them! But, it's kind of shady. Think that's why?
